Founded in 1955 by the late Carmelo Gauci, the Big Ben Group has over the years become synonymous with quality fabrics and interiors. Following Mr Gauci’s passing away in 1975, the two original outlets, called Europa and Big Ben, passed on to his sons, who had followed him in the business. The second generation worked hard and expanded the company into several retail shops around the island – these soon became renowned and trusted for their selection of textiles and garments. In 1986, Eugenio and Clement Gauci founded Big Ben Limited and moved to new premises in Naxxar Road, Birkirkara. This prominent location nowadays houses the Big Ben offices and retail outlet.   In 1999, the business was taken over by Eugenio Gauci, who opened the new showroom Big Ben Interiors Limited. Mr Gauci is currently the company’s Managing Director.

Coralis is a new roller blind concept available at Aluscreens, which combines innovation, progress and affordability. The brand offers a variety of blinds with different functions, but all are excellent quality and customisable.    Styles include:    Single cord blinds that are elegant and sturdy, as well as being child safe as they comply with anti-strangling EU laws. Cordless blinds, which as the name suggests, do not have a cord but instead operate using a roller blind with a mechanical brake. Double roller blinds combine two blinds into one, which can be operated separately. Multi-joint blinds have a mechanism that can operate up to 15 blinds simultaneously using one chain, allowing you to save space and time.   All blinds are flame resistant, block up to 97% of UV rays, have an openness factor of 3% and can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth. Also available is shine material that introduces the option to reflect UV rays.
