General Information

In accordance with L.N.178/2001 the Food Handling Course is compulsory for every food handler, including temporary staff, working in the industry. A Food Handler is defined as any person engaged in the preparation, manufacture, and treatment in terms of the Act in a food business, whether for profit or not, and who handles or prepares food intended for human consumption.   License A is a 2.5-hour course designed for employees that are not involved in food preparation and handling of...

In accordance with L.N.178/2001 the Food Handling Course is compulsory for every food handler, including temporary staff, working in the industry. A Food Handler is defined as any person engaged in the preparation, manufacture, and treatment in terms of the Act in a food business, whether for profit or not, and who handles or prepares food intended for human consumption.   License A is a 2.5-hour course designed for employees that are not involved in food preparation and handling of high-risk open food. The license is valid for 2 years.   License B is an 8-hour course designed for employees engaged in the preparation and handling of high risk, open food such as Fresh Cream, Custard, Meat, Poultry, Sausages, Eggs, Rice, Fish, Cheese, Milk, or Shellfish. Business Owners, managers, and supervisory staff are also required to attend. The license is valid for 5 years.   Training will be given by an experienced tutor, Mr. Jean Pierre Sant HND, Dip. Mgmt. M.Ent, who is authorised by the Food Safety Commission, and is also a member of the Royal Society of Public Health.    Students will be given a detailed set of course notes, written exercises for their keeping. In the end, a multiple-choice exam will get undertaken to assess the students understanding of the subject. Upon a successful pass, the student will be given a Certificate issued by Q² Consult.    The courses are held in a modern, air-conditioned classroom with ample parking spaces in close proximity. The course can also be delivered on your premises upon request.   Other services: HACCP plans and training Food Safety Management System Consultant (GFSI) Internal Auditor (GFSI) Food Safety & Hygiene Auditor Second Party Auditor (GFSI) Technical Food Labelling (EU) Nutritional Calculations Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) & product costing Product Specifications          Open Sunday by appointment.
