info@bondsmalta.comBOND’S LIMITED is a family business founded in 1948 as an importing and distribution firm. In 1964, ‘Bond’s’ opened a Houseware and Giftware retail outlet in Sliema and the company’s business flourished during the sixties and seventies. New sources of supply were sought and the company moved positively in the direction of expansion and distribution of household products to other retailers. Hardware, Electrical appliances, White Goods and Home Improvement products were added later.
In 1990 the company moved into new centrally located, custom built premises in Attard, housing its offices, warehouses and a large modern showroom.
In 1995, Bond’s expanded its operations into the furniture sector and has since become one of the leading importers and suppliers of furniture and mattresses in Malta.
With the imminent liberalization of the Malta market, foreign sources of furniture supply were sought. The market was finally liberalized in October 2002 and one month later the first display of imported furniture was set up in our showroom. Bond’s started importing Colombini in 2004. Bond’s were actually amongst the first export customers for Colombini. At that time, Colombini were mainly producing for the Italian market, with less than 10% of their production being exported. It was also the time that Colombini were drawing up plans for a major export offensive and rebranded to Colombini Casa. Due to the fresh design ideas, large choice, modularity and good quality, Colombini Casa furniture was an instant success in Malta. So much so that in 2014 Colombini Casa Malta, ergo Bond’s, was the best selling Colombini Casa shop worldwide.
As the company outgrew its premises, a major restructuring was undertaken in 2009. The existing two floors were practically rebuilt and another two floors were added. The newly refurbished premises with a display area of circa 1,500m2 spread over 4 floors, were inaugurated on 13th January, 2010 by H.G. Mons. Paul Cremona O.P., Archbishop of Malta.
Towards the end of 2014, an agreement was reached with Colombini Casa to rebrand Bond’s to Colombini Casa, a franchise with over 80 shops worldwide. The rebranding was finalised by March 2015, when Mr Emanuel Colombini, CEO of Colombini Casa came to Malta specifically to launch Colombini Casa by Bond’s. At the same time, Bond’s were been appointed sole distributors for the Febal Casa range.
Bond’s is a dynamic company in continuous evolution. Success is based on being innovative and at the forefront of new technology and developments.

Joe Borg reviewed Colombini Casa by Bond's

We were looking for some Office Chairs. We found that Bond's staff were very helpful, and their chairs are not only have a great design but are also comfortable to sit down on, and offer great support for the back.
