Valletta Gateway Terminals Ltd (VGT), a subsidiary of Portek Group in Singapore, holds a 30-year concession, jointly with Tumas Group of Malta, to manage and operate the multi-purpose facilities at Malta’s Grand Harbour.

This harbour has a depth which allows for the berthing of many types of vessels. Its central location enables VGT and logistic providers to offer an effective distribution network that meets the demand of local industries and consumer.

 VGT boasts exceptional car compound facilities located at Laboratory Wharf such as:

• 10,400m2 of space in Compound A
•  9,000m2 of space in Compound  B
•  Secured Storage area in which only authorised persons are allowed access
• Operations Organisation Drivers are hired on a 1:10 basis
• Briefing to staff prior to commencing of operations
• Instructions and procedures are strictly imposed
• Senior Operation Supervisors overseeing the operations
• All staff is equipped with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Independent and qualified surveyor present
• Provision of ancillary activity such as petrol top-up, towing and battery jump start
• Damage prevention procedures are in place and tools are made available to enable detailed inspection and tallying of cars.
