Swieqi Event: International Women's Day Event and Donation Initiative

In support of International Women’s Day, Swieqi Local Council invites women from all walks of life to join them on 8 March for a special event aimed at fostering connections, supporting women in need and overall giving back to the community.

Taking place at the Is-Swieqi Local Council Hall on Friday March 8 from 9:30am till 12:30pm, this event will include inspirational talks from like minded women in Business to connect and inspire.

This event is more than just a morning tea; it's an opportunity to forge connections with like-minded women, exchange stories, and draw strength from each other's experiences.

Whether you're a seasoned entrepreneur, a budding professional, a stay-at-home mum, or a student, this gathering is for you.

It's a chance to feel empowered and show solidarity of womanhood, to celebrate diversity, and to uplift one another in a supportive environment.

What to Expect!

During the morning tea, you'll have the opportunity to browse through boutique stalls showcasing products from women-owned businesses. Engaging talks will provide inspiration and insight, while a hands-on activity of planting flowers will add a touch of creativity and mindfulness to the event.

Giving Back: FEMALE Essential Handbag Initiative

As part of our commitment to giving back, we invite attendees to participate in the FEMALE Essential Handbag initiative. Simply donate a handbag filled with essential items such as tampons, sanitary pads, deodorant, toothpaste, and moisturizer.

These bags will be distributed to women's shelters across Malta, providing much-needed support and care to those in need.

Attendance is free, but space is limited. To reserve your spot, please register via email at by Monday, March 4th, 2024. We encourage you to join us for this special occasion and contribute to a meaningful cause while connecting with fellow women in our community.
