It’s past time we all get into the holiday spirit. With temepratrures dropping by a couple degrees recently, there’s a crisp chill in the evening and it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. Valletta’s famous Christmas lights are aglow, and Swieqi’s streets are now twinkling with festive cheer.
And what better way to celebrate the season than by joining A Swieqi Christmas at the Swieqi Civic Centre? Taking place this Sunday, December 1, from 10am to 8pm, this all-day festive event promises something special for everyone in the community.
Kickstart the day with Christmas crafts for kids, where little ones can unleash their creativity and make special keepsakes. Explore a vibrant Christmas market filled with unique gifts, toy stalls, and delicious treats.
Don’t miss the Father Christmas float making its rounds, spreading cheer and joy to young and old alike.
For active kids, the bouncy castle offers hours of fun, while face painting by the Swieqi Girl Guides will leave them sparkling with festive designs.
Arts activities will add an extra touch of magic to the day, ensuring that everyone has a chance to join in the fun.
Throughout the event, enjoy live performances from local musical talents and heartwarming Christmas choirs, setting the perfect festive atmosphere. Adding to the magic, a dance school featuring children with disabilities will perform, showcasing the power of inclusion and celebration.
No Christmas gathering is complete without seasonal treats, and this one doesn’t disappoint. Sip on free mulled wine, savor delicious mince pies, and grab a poinsettia to bring some holiday cheer home. Food stalls will keep everyone fueled as the festivities continue into the evening.
