Comedy Knights’ Email Blunder Brings Christmas Cheer to Malta

In a festive twist nobody saw coming, an internal Comedy Knights email intended for cast and crew accidentally found its way into the inboxes of the entire Comedy Knights mailing list—all 12,000 of them. The email, which included a promo code for a special team discount, has now been turned into a holiday gift for fans of the show.
When we reached out to producer Wesley Ellul about the mishap, he was refreshingly candid. “We accidentally sent it out to the wrong mailing list,” he admitted. “Normally, we don’t offer any further discounts so close to the show for audiences—we want to reward those who book early—so this obviously wasn’t ideal.”
Chris Dingli also noted the unexpected silver lining of the situation. “While this wasn’t planned, it made us reflect on how we engage with our audience. Mistakes can lead to opportunities to connect with people in a more meaningful way,” he said. “Plus, it’s been heartwarming to see how many people reached out with kind words or a sense of humor about the mix-up.”
But instead of revoking the code, Ellul and Dingli decided to embrace the Christmas spirit. “Hey, it’s Christmas! Let’s share some love with the people of Malta and all the amazing people who have come to watch the show this year,” Ellul said.
