Festa Madliena to Celebrate 10 Years with Stacked Musical Lineup

This July, Swieqi’s summer calendar gets a familiar highlight as Festa Madliena returns for its 10th edition. Taking place on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd July, the event has become a staple in the local community.
It's also attracted people from further afield with live music, good food, and all round great vibes. Organised by the Is-Swieqi Local Council and the Swieqi Arts Group, this year marks a small milestone. What began as a simple gathering has grown into a well-loved fixture on the local calendar.
Live Music & Local Performers
Both evenings will feature live performances from top local talent, including Sterjotipi and Ta’ Verna Folk Group, among others, for what’s sure to be a lively, feel-good atmosphere for all ages.
Food Stalls and Other Activities Treats & Artisan Stalls
Take a stroll along Triq il-Madliena and enjoy a selection of food stalls, including Maxtar Food Truck serving up some of the best street food around. And to cool off afterwards, grab an ice cream from one of the local vendors.
Plus, visitors can meet the heroes on four paws from K9 Urban Search & Rescue Malta, who’ll be showcasing their incredible work throughout the event.

Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the area, Festa Madliena is all about community. Bring your family, friends, and neighbours—it’s the perfect way to unwind and enjoy summer in good company.
