As the weather finally cools and the countdown to Christmas begins, the San Ġwann Local Council has a packed lineup of festive cheer coming your way.
From its lights and decor, markets, concerts, and more, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Here’s what the wonderful people at the San Ġwann Council have in store for you and the whole family.
The upcoming Christmas Village is undoubtedly the main attraction for this year’s festivities, offering two full days of activities for the whole family. With free entrance, visitors can expect a mix of live entertainment, musical performances, and a selection of artisan food stalls.
For the kids, there will be workshops with elves, fun rides, games, and festive face painting. Santa Claus, his elves will also be present, while Micky and Minnie Mouse will be lending a helping hand.
The Christmas Village takes place on Saturday the 6th December from 11am to 11pm and Sunday the 7th December from 9am to 9pm, giving everyone more than enough time to stop by.
On the 18th of December, the JP2 Foundation will present a Concert for Peace at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church. Performed by the JP2 Music Quintet, the event features a programme of string music and reflective seasonal pieces.
The concert begins at 7pm and offers a calm change of pace during a busy time of year.
The street lighting on the 29th November signals the start of festive activities that will take place throughout December. From a festive buffet lunch to the Christmas Sleigh, there truly is something for everyone to enjoy.
Finally, the month wraps up with a New Year's Eve fireworks display to ring in 2026. See you there!
