It's hard to believe that it's been 15 years already, but Malta's leading ticketing company, Ticketline.com.mt, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this January. Since its founding in 2008, the company has established itself as the go-to destination for event tickets on the island, selling tickets to a wide range of concerts, festivals, sporting events, and theater productions.
"I cannot believe how time has flown," says Wesley Ellul, the General Manager of Ticketline.com.mt. "Since our first event in 2008, the Malta Song contest, we've had over 5,000 show days helping clients across Malta and Gozo sell tickets for their events. From Malta's largest concerts to Malta's smallest plays, we've had a mission to help professionalize the industry... and I am happy to have set the standard all companies need to work by."
One of the keys to Ticketline.com.mt's success has been its commitment to providing excellent customer service. The company's team of dedicated professionals is always ready to help customers find the perfect tickets for their preferred events, whether they're looking for seats in the front row or discounts on group tickets. While it's core strength is it's online ticketing platform, Ticketline.com.mt also offers any client the opportunity to set up physical retail outlets across Malta for their shows, allowing producers to drive traffic to their sponsors to purchase tickets in person.
Ticketline.com.mt has built its business on sound principles of good service and quick sales, and it has a long history of supporting the arts and artists on the island. "We've always focused on offering our services at the least possible fees so more of the money goes back to those who are producing these amazing shows," says Ellul. "As a producer myself, I know how every penny counts, and at Ticketline.com.mt, we try to offer a package that not only gives event producers the ability to sell their tickets online, but also market their events to our audience of over 200,000 annual clients."
To achieve this, Ticketline.com.mt uses a variety of channels, including monthly newsletters, social media, and strong connections to Malta's leading media houses. "We make sure our clients get the visibility they need to get their message across to the community of event lovers that will help get their shows sold out," says Ellul.
In 2018, Ticketline.com.mt was the official ticketing partner of the European Capital of Culture, Valletta, and the company has played a major role in the cultural life of Malta over the past 15 years. However, the past year has been a challenging one for the ticketing industry, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. "It was tough for us, but even tougher for the artists," admits Ellul. "That's why we made a commitment to offer our services at pre-pandemic rates to Malta's event producers. We want to encourage audiences to come back to theaters, festivals, and clubs, and by keeping our costs as low as they were when we started 15 years ago, we hope to make that happen."
Despite the challenges, Ticketline.com.mt is looking forward to an exciting future. "We have some amazing new features on the way in 2023, including a new self-service app and a few new integrated features that will help event producers sell their shows faster using social media," says Ellul. "I wish I could tell you more, but once we do, you'll be blown away!"
