For anyone who grew up watching anime, you’ll feel right at home at Tito Tatts! As a self-confessed nerd, Lee Tanti (affectionately known as Lee it-Tito) is the proud owner of Tito Tatts where he creates vibrant, eye-catching tattoos inspired by Manga/Anime and other forms of pop culture.
Embracing Your Inner Nerd
Before you even step foot inside, the entrance to Tito’s Tatts offers a small taste of what you’ll find when you enter. Its doors are adorned with a colourful host of hand-painted, familiar faces from Scarface, Luffy from One Piece and even the late greats of Heath Ledger's Joker as well as producer and rapper Mac Miller!
Once you actually enter, you’ll be greeted by an impressive collection featuring hundreds of figurines, mostly from Dragon Ball (and when I say hundreds, I do mean hundreds!). Speaking to the man himself, Lee says that he wanted to create something unique and for people to embrace their inner nerds.
“I’m a big fan of anime and manga and I just wanted my shop to look different from the others. I had some before (figurines) but once I opened in 2019, I continued adding to the collection and now it's a way for clients to bring out their inner nerd”.
A Colorful Artistic Expression
Getting to the crux of the matter, not only is Lee a big fan of anime, but he is also an incredibly talented tattoo artist. His passion lies in creating vivid and vibrant tattoos using a wide range of colours.
He gets gets deep satisfaction in bringing images to life with a vivid palette. His parlour is the ideal destination for those seeking bold and dynamic designs that truly stand out. Some of his most famous work includes a collage of Goku in different forms from Super Saiyan to Ultra Instinct, Joaquin Pheonix as the Joker, DC’s Spiderman and Venom as well as a tattoo dedicated to Queen legend Brian May!
The Tito Tatts Team
With Lee at the helm, Tito Tatts is made up of a team of very talented artists with their own specialisations. Justine, a Maltese artist, showcases her expertise in Mandala and Dot work, infusing intricate patterns into her creations. Celine, a French artist, specializes in minimalist and organic tattoos, creating elegant and understated designs. Sandor, a newcomer to the team, is currently exploring different styles to find his niche, while Laszlo, Sandor's brother, excels in the realm of black-and-grey realism.
Also, heavily featured on their socials creating videos that are fun and humorous is the love of Lee’s life, Angelica Rossi. As a very talented photographer, their appreciation for each other’s work continues to strengthen their artistic endeavours.
